Daft Punk was fantastic. I am glad I am tall though, I imagine it would have sucked to be unable to watch the whole thing. I think my life reached its peak when Daft Punk came back on with the red outlines, it was truly an awesome show. Was particularly pleased with The Presets performance also, while not the most visual stimulating show their music is great. I was a tad disappointed with the amount of smokers at the event, my eyes and throat were both saw this morning but the throat my just be a lack of water. Overall a great show though!

Prime Time of my Life
December 17, 2007For those TF2 Fans
December 15, 2007Not sure how how long it’s been out but Valve has released some statistics on Team Fortress 2. Call me strange, but the best part of any activity is statistics. Why the hell else would people watch Cricket? Also loving the map “hot spots” at the bottom of the statistics page! Personally I am amazed that Engineers are the only class to have an average life time of over a minute, I would have thought people live a lot longer than that in game, I know I certainly do and I’m not the greatest player in the world.
In other news, Daft Punk tomorrow, expect planet to be covered with Daft Punk news by Monday.
Doctors seems to lack common sense (Sorry Zanchey)
December 10, 2007While reading slashdot today I saw an interesting article on how barcodes are going to be used to keep track of sponges so they aren’t left in people. This is perhaps one of the most retarded ideas I’ve heard in a while, and I’ve just completed IPE. From what it seems, the barcodes do nothing special apart from keep count of sponges in and out of a patient. Surely you don’t need a barcoding system to do this? Surely it would be easier to have someone count the number of sponges before they open someone up and then again just before the procedure is about to finish? I’m not sure, I’m not a doctor, but this just seems like an epic waste of time.
In other news, I saw the Hitman movie on Thursday. I am still not sure what I make of it. Certainly not an epic movie I will rush out to see again. However, I didn’t leave the cinema feeling I wasted my money. It had a decent enough plot to uphold the kickass nature of Hitman. Loved the shameless self-plug of Blood Money shown in the movie.
Finally, less than one week to go until Daft Punk, can I get a “Hells yeah”?
